Green coaster up, meat galore, Red coaster down, you surrender in defeat. The wait staff promptly greeted us and gave us the run down of how the night would go. We had made reservations, but only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. What a great opportunity to try such place at a great discount. We dined at Fogo during Devour Indy week(s). I’d say it’s over rated and I’d like a more intimate environment that is more cozy and that means I’ll be going somewhere else. If it’s like it was on Monday January 29th all the time. I would like to try them maybe once more in hopes that it’s less chaotic atmosphere. I’m not sure if Devour Indy made it busier than normal or not. Service was good but for the caliber of the establishment could have been better. For my first experience here it kind of left me wondering what’s all the hype about. After waiting for I’m going to guess 10-15 minutes we finally asked if someone would stop by with some lamb. So we continued to set, watch them scurrying about while having dinner conversation. As time passed it appeared that the servers had moved to only making rounds around the exterior of the room and quit venturing into the middle. On the whole they were very savory though since I like to watch my sodium I found most of the meats to have a very heavy coating of salt on the exterior. In the beginning they seemed to be stopping by our table with tempting roasted meats every 5-10 minutes. After we had tasted the delightful items from the salad area. We eventually made our way to the “salad” and it was very delightful. My chair was repeatedly kicked and bumped.
I was distracted by all the other staff that went zipping all around. While setting there attempting to listen to him. Right off I noticed that it was terribly loud atmosphere that made it really challenging to hear what he had to say. Our server was very polite and professional. We were seated in the middle of the first area that walk through upon entering. We had reservations and we were seated fairly promptly. I have never been to Fogo de Chao before and thought that this was a prime opportunity to give them a try.
